    - A Government arts College for women, But before few years changed as Co-Educational college.

3. Govt. Arts College. [fine arts] 
    - Next to Chennai Arts College, Here only the fine arts like sculptures, painting are being taught.

4. Arasu Engineering College [Co-Education]
    - A new introduction to Kumbakonam, a group of ARASU Autos & ARASU Jewels. This College get started by this year (2001-2002).  It is located in the Kumbakonam - Chennai Main Road. At present this college provides three branches as follows.
